The Perfect Cup of Tea

Autor: Franck d.d.

Savjeti za pripremu čaja

The golden rules for crafting the perfect cup of tea have been honed over 4000 years since its discovery. If you're feeling chilly, tea will warm you up. If you're overheated, it'll cool you down. If you're feeling low, it'll lift your spirits. And if you're feeling anxious, it'll soothe you.

Follow these guidelines and savor the exquisite flavor of one of Franck's teas:

  1. Begin with fresh cold water. Let it run for a few seconds until it reaches room temperature. This ensures the water is rich in oxygen, crucial for fully unlocking the tea leaves' aroma.
  2. Heat the water to the appropriate temperature: up to 70°C for white, green, and yellow teas, up to 95°C for black tea, and up to 100°C for fruit tea.
  3. Preheat the teapot by pouring a small amount of boiling water into it.
  4. Place the tea bag or loose tea leaves into the teapot, then add water.
  5. Allow the tea to steep for a few minutes:
    • White tea: 1-2 minutes
    • Green tea: 1-3 minutes
    • Black tea: 3-5 minutes
    • Fruit tea: 8 minutes
    • Yellow tea: 1-3 minutes
  6. Stir the tea to ensure a consistent flavor. External factors like humidity, light, or heat can impact the tea's taste. When stored in its original packaging, tea retains its aroma for up to two years. After this time, the tea's color may change, and its aroma may diminish. Thus, it's crucial to store opened tea in a cool, dry, and dark place. Tea is traditionally served from a teapot, so choose one carefully as the material can affect the taste. Porcelain, glass, and cast iron are optimal materials. For the best experience, enjoy your tea from a delicate porcelain cup at the ideal temperature of 60°C.
